Oooh, oooh, oooh!

An easier way to post pictures to my blog! This is sooo cool! To try out this great new feature, I thought I'd show everyone what happens in the kitchens of boy-dominated households during clean-up time.

I have this fantasy that in all-girl or almost-all-girl households, the kitchens are filled with cheerful young ladies in lovely frocks, singing melodiously in multi-part harmony as they turn the kitchen into a polished delight. My mother and her two older sisters actually did practice gospel and hymn trios while doing dishes, so I have some basis for this mental image. Please don't disabuse me of my lovely notion of what goes on in your girly homes, if your daughters are not bringing forth melody amongst the pots and pans.

But I do know for a fact that my lone daughter would never pose for a picture with a towel over her head and face.

  1. I'm grinning at this!

My boys are still minimal help in the kitchen, but when we clean up together around the house, it's "Sweet Home Alabama" and not hymns we're working to. . .

  2. You are a doubly rich woman --in your real life and in your fantasy life. :-)

  3. LOL!
I grew up with a bunch of younger brothers so that sounds and looks familiar. Now I have 3 daughters and 1 son. They are still young but I believe your theory may be correct. My son is so goofy when I am aim the camera at him and my girls sing while they do anything. I'll keep you posted as they take on more kitchen duty.
    Cute pics : )

  4. I do all the dishes in our home. Except when I cook, which is about once a month on the outdoor grill.
