It was a sunny, hot, Southern California day when we gathered to celebrate 50 wonderful years of marriage, love, and friendship --- not mine, of course, but my parents.
The frame on the wall shows my parents' wedding picture, along with a far more recent picture, and the verse they chose to have engraved in their rings:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. -Proverbs 3:5,6
They have lived this verse all of their marriage.
