What is it about kids' feet? We just bought Jesse a pair of shoes, maybe two weeks ago, and he's suddenly complaining about them being too short and too tight. Impossible, I said. They were fitted by trained professionals, at the wonderful children's shoe store where we buy almost all our kids' shoes. Well, these days it's just half the kids' shoes, come to think of it---three of them are now in adult sizes.
So it turns out that Jesse really did outgrow his shoes. Amazing how fast little feet can grow!
Of course, any mention of Jesse and shoes makes me grow all nostalgic, and I end up reminiscing over his first pair of shoes. But that adventure is a tale for another time, when I'm not supposed to be doing half a dozen other things instead of writing blogs.
