Along with this decline in testosterone with age and lifestyle, many men also experience increases in the levels of estrogen.
And guess what turns out to be first on the list of recommendations for men with too much estrogen and too little testosterone?
Lose weight. Fat cells, especially in the abdominal region, produce the aromatase enzyme, which converts testosterone into estrogen.
Guess I was right about obesity in men being unmasculine! There is a good reason that men with fat bellies no longer look...well...exactly manly.
