One of the few negatives, as far as I'm concerned, about living in a supposedly semi-rural (but not semi-rural enough for me) small town is that DSL has been unavailable to us. We've had to limp along with dial-up internet access, and our community's phone system really wasn't designed with such new-fangled data useage in mind.
As of yesterday, I feel like I've caught up with the rest of the world. We now have wireless broadband, and it is soooo cool! Immediately after the hardware was installed, we were up and running. Eldest Son and I both were on the internet at once, sitting at our dining table with our laptops and nary a cable or phone line in sight. How cool is that?
