Recently Eldest Son was reading something from the newspaper to me and mispronounced a simple but unusual word. Since he's so much fun to tease, I quickly launched into a brief phonics lesson, just to bug him.
Child #2, headed up the steps, quipped to him, "And you're a college student? Good grief!"
It's the good-natured teasing and repartee among the kids that I know I'll miss and treasure in years to come.
